Milichiella abditoargentea
Differs from congeners in the silvery appearance of the frons only when viewed in certain angles, slightly brown microtomentose mesonotum, brown microtomentose scutellum, brown microtomentose male T2-5 except for subshiny to shiny tip of T5.
Male coloration and vestiture: frons black from posterior view but strikingly silvery or grey from anterior view, ocellar triangle and orbital plates subshiny black, lunule brown, basoflagellomere brown, basomedially small red, face grey microtomentose, palpus black; thorax with mesonotum slightly brown microtomentose, scutellum brown microtomentose, pleura slightly more greyish microtomentose except for shiny spots on an- and katepisternum, wing hyaline, veins light brown, brown spot at tip of vein R1 absent, calypter yellowish white, halter black, legs black; abdomen with T2-5 brown microtomentose except for subshiny to shiny tip and posterolateral corners of T5.
Morphology. Head: frons with 2 orbital and 2 frontal setae, anterior frontal seta slightly medioreclinate. In males frons 3.2x as wide at posterior margin than at base of antenna, arista about 4.5x as long as basoflagellomere wide, pubescence on arista very short, posterior eye margin with slight notch (3oc) and very slight emargination (1oc).
Thorax: 2 dc, 1 prsc, 1+0.4 pprn, 1+0.5 prs, 1+0.8 keps setae, posterior prsc less than 0.8x as long as posterior dc, seta between posterior prsc and posterior dc absent. Wing with vein R4+5 and M1 converging (2.4), and ultimate section of vein M1 3.2x as long as penultimate section. Fore femur normal setulose, tibial organ absent.
Male abdomen: posteromedial triangular projection of T1 into T2 present. Tergal chaetotaxy: T2 anterolateral corner with 2-3 lines of setae, T2-5 setulose posteriorly. S5 as long as wide, 1.5x as long and 1.4x as wide as S4, nearly quadrangular with posterior margin indented, scarce setulose. Male genitalia with apical seta on cercus shorter than longest epandrial setae, 1 seta on subepandrial plate, surstylus 0.5x as long as epandrium high, slightly dilated apically (1.2x), 2.1x as long as wide, structure of lateral surface very weak honeycomb-like, medial surface without setulae, some longer sensilla along anterior margin.
